The Knives were new weapons added by Notch in If a New Weapon was Added to Minecraft.
Appearance[]
The Knives look like real life knifes. However, instead of steel gray, their edge is colored either pinkish red or pied.
Crafting recipe[]
The Knives are crafted with one John Cena head and 512 diamond blocks in stacks of 64 surrounding it.
Usage[]
The knives are made of plastic, so they don't deal any melee damage (unless the target is allergic to plastic). However, when someone punches the air with them, a John Cena head is shot. Wherever and whenever the head lands, a small explosion will be produced and John Cena's theme music will play. Notch stated that the knife won't make that sound, explaining it and saying the video would be annoying, much to ExplodingTNT's confusion.
Side Effects[]
It was initially thought that a bug killed a random villager for each shot of a John Cena head. However, this was proven false when Notch claimed not to notice any bug, and it was later revealed that it was John Cena to kill villagers by using the Invisibility status effect, referencing "You can't see me", a phrase commonly used by John Cena.
